MAKING THEATRE COME ALIVE

"Eurydice", by Sarah Ruhl, is a retelling of Orpheus' journey to the Underworld from the perspective of his wife, Eurydice. The goal for our production of "Eurydice" was to find a way to make the theater come alive around the audience. Our "Eurydice" was staged in a garden, and was completely experimental. For the first half of the show, the audience follows the actors through different sections of the garden. When Eurydice finds herself in the Underworld, the audience will find themselves planted in theater-style seating for the remainder of the production. This show was an amazing experiment, and our goal of finding ways to make the show feel alive was certainly accomplished! See some photos and videos from our work below!
